On the 5th of June it was my best friend Shane's birthday! He finally turned the big 20 and joined Fay and I in the non - teenager club haha bit of a scary thought knowing you're no longer a teenager :(

We didn't know what to get Shane for his birthday present and he didn't have any ideas in mind so Fay mentioned to me about booking him a massage, as he has been going on for absolutely ages about wanting one! I thought it was a great idea so we booked him into a place recommended by someone we knew and kept it a surprise from him! 

On the day of his birthday we picked him up and whisked him off to the spa/salon. The drive there Shane started getting a bit nervous to the point of feeling sick, especially when he found out he'd be on his own! Luckily once he arrived and found out what we'd planned for him he calmed down and enjoyed it! Fay and I decided to walk round the town while he was getting it done looking for some photo opportunities for our blogs!

After just over an hour, in the middle of searching for places to photograph in, Shane text to say he was done so we met up with him and we all had some lunch in a local Italian! Afterwards we carried on our search for a nice place for a photo opportunity and spotted a lovely bridge overlooking a river!

Even though it was quite warm this day and I probably didn't need a jacket, I ended up wearing my favourite denim jacket from Topshop in a light blue colour! I teamed this with my dark blue Joni Jeans from Topshop and my orange palm tree vest top from New Look. As always I had my old faithful Vans trainers on and my new River Island satchel bag. I was in a bit of a rush when I got changed but I think my outfit turned out okay in the end! :)

Finally to end I also picked up some new sunglasses whilst we were out as I desperately needed a new pair as my original pair were years old! I find it difficult finding sunglasses in the right shape which suit my face but luckily I found this lovely pair in Topshop! They are a black tortoise shell style and the lenses have a slight purple look to them, I love them!

Take Some Time To Simmer Down, Keep Your Head Down Low

 Crop Top + Joni Jeans - Topshop, High Heels - New look

Quick little outfit post! I went shopping the other day as I had some money from my birthday recently and I found these little beauties in New Look! Most of my shoes are black so I decided to go for red to add a bit of colour into my life haha

I love these types of high heels/wedges with the thick heel and platformed sole as they are super comfortable especially on a night out when you are stood in them for hours and dancing etc!! They are also a little safer than the thinner heel as after a few drinks when you're feeling a little merry you can be a bit unsteady on your feet!

It's my best friends birthday next week and we're heading out for a bit of clubbing so I may end up wearing this outfit!

Introduction + 20th birthday!

So it occurred to me as I approached my 20th birthday that I'd spent a lot of time saying I would start a blog but never actually doing it! Well here I am a day after my birthday finally starting one. New year, new start and all that! I wasn't quite sure what to blog as my first post but I thought a little introduction and a few pictures from my birthday night would be a good place to start.  

Hello! My name is Natalie, I'm 20 years old (going to have to get used to saying that!) and I live in Surrey in the UK. I am a massive music fan, not too fussy on the genre as long as it's a good song! However, some of my favourites include Bastille, The 1975, Imagine Dragons, McFly, Paramore and Twenty One Pilots! I love spending time with my two best friends Fay and Shane, who I have known most of my life and we all get on together like a house on fire! 

 This may sound a bit cliche but I also love a bit of travelling and so far in my 20 years of life I have been very fortunate enough to visit quite a few places, with Florida being one of my favourites!

 I have the cutest dog in the world called Jack (not biased at all) who I'm sure will feature on this blog, one day I would also like to own a bearded dragon though!!

Anyway don't want to blab on for too long but this was a quick introduction!

As I mentioned before it was my 20th birthday on Saturday, it was made even better because my best friends who go to university were home for Easter so it was the first time we'd been back together in a while! I woke up with a numb toe, cut lip and scratches on my leg so as you can tell it was a good night!!

There were a lot of drinks and laughs involved and it was a much needed fun night! My outfit of the night was a toss up between two dresses I ordered from ASOS, plus some surprisingly comfortable shoes from Tesco!

I'm aware this post is rather long but I had a lot to get in! At the moment I'm thinking I will be featuring outfit posts and generally anything that interests me on this blog! Well done if you've read all the way to end! Hopefully I can get this blog looking a bit more jazzy and not so plain looking once I know what I'm doing haha!
